When entertaining and serving a big meal, serve grapes and Gouda cheese as a light appetizer — having a light apéritif before dinner prevents everyone from ruining their appetite. There's nothing complicated about this aperitif, and the flavor combination is impressive. Grapes and Gouda is also an excellent idea for your kids' apéritif while you are preparing dinner.

Ingredients

Green grapes

A block of aged Gouda

Instructions

Cut the Gouda into small cubes and assemble them on toothpicks with the grapes.

I prefer aged Gouda because it has a richer flavor, but it can crumble easily. So go slowly when placing the toothpick, to prevent the cheese from falling apart.
