If you're okay with your kids enjoying a little candy on Halloween but want to avoid a big stach lingering around, here's a fun solution: have you heard of the Halloween goblin?
Here's how it works. After trick-or-treating, let your kids choose a few favorites to keep and set the rest aside. Then, just like the Tooth Fairy, the Halloween Goblin sneaks in overnight to swap candy for a special surprise—like a toy or money.
To make it even more meaningful, I also told my kids the Goblin shared the candy with those who couldn't get out to trick-or-treat. My children's school also collected bags of candy and sent them to soldiers who appreciated a sweet treat from back home.
If you have any ideas on where to donate the Goblin's Goodies, please share in the comments below, and I will post them again next year.
