A mini food processor is a must-have kitchen tool that will take the work out of chopping by hand and free you up from cleaning up a large food processor. You can make salad dressings, sauces, and pestos in minutes — and chop an onion or shallot in seconds!
When you are done, everything goes into the dishwasher for easy cleanup.
You can make a multitude of sauces in serving sizes for one, two, three, or four.
To dice an onion, peel it and chop it into large chunks. Place the chunks in the mini food processor, press the pulse button 2 to 3 times, then use a spatula to push the onion down from the sides and pulse 2 to 3 more times. This ensures an even dice. Avoid holding down the pulse button or continuously grinding, as this will turn your onion into a watery puree.
A mini processor is also convenient for making pesto and dicing vegetables such as carrots and celery for a Bolognese sauce.
For easy cleaning, simply place all the parts in the dishwasher. This Cuisinart mini processor has been a staple in my kitchen for over 15 years and is still going strong. It’ll quickly become one of your favorite tools too!
