If you love crab legs but not the restaurant prices, they’re simple to prepare at home. There’s really nothing to “cook” — just heat them up, add a few easy courses, and maybe a homemade sauce on the side. You’ll enjoy a high-quality feast right at your table, without the price tag or the processed ingredients often found in restaurant meals.
Thaw the crab legs.
Preheat the oven to 375° F.
Place the crab legs on a baking sheet and bake them for 10-15 minutes until done — when the color is vibrant and they are warmed through.
Serve. To serve and test for doneness, I use sturdy kitchen scissors to cut along the side. Then I can tell if they are done, and it is easier for everyone to remove the shells at the table.
I often bake the crab legs when they are still frozen, and they are still great. Just allow about five to ten minutes more for them to cook.
To make an easy meal, serve a salad, skip the side, and add a simple dessert — and I always make aioli for dipping. You can make the aioli ahead and use the leftovers to make another meal tomorrow. You'll find several ideas in the aioli recipe.
